We are closed since October 13th. We will open again for the summer season 2025 around end of May.

Our cozy alpine hut (2080 m) is situated directly at the foot of the Sass Putia mountain, surrounded by wide blooming meadows.

You can reach us easily on a forest road, starting from Passo delle Erbe (parking area) in only 20 minutes walk.

The Fornella alp is very popular with families (also accessible with baby buggies and mountainbikes) and hikers of all ages. Your children will love the funny playground and our animals: cows and calfs, goats, bunnies, hen, etc.
...and you will become fond of our delicious typical ladin cuisine and our sincere hospitality.

Here you can find all typical dishes which can't be missing on a South Tyrolean alpine hut, such as dumplings, fried eggs, speck or the sweet „Kaiserschmarren" and of course local meat specialties... Have a fresh beer or a homemade juice with it and your pleasurable experience in the Alps can start!
